CARDINAL 1224 ROLL CONVEYOR
The basic machine is free standing, floor mounted cabinet with (2) vestibules that include seals for shot retention while still performing a blast cycle. This allows for a constant and consistent workflow.
Used media is driven by augers on the bottom of the cabinet to the bucket elevator. The media then passes through the rotary screen where large scale and unwanted materials are removed. The media then passes through the highly efficient single lip air-wash separator where the fines such as dust and breakdown scale etc. are removed.
The abrasive flow to the blast wheels is controlled by pneumatically controlled low-profile abrasive valves. The control system includes all components required to operate the machine.

All Cardinal equipment are designed utilizing SOLIDWORKS brand 3D modeling software ensuring integration of components and final assembly of the system all the way through design, manufacturing and final assembly.

CENTRIFUGAL BLAST WHEEL
Single sided efficiently designed blast wheel reduces the overhung load on the motor as well as the time it takes to change blades, impellors, and control cage. Standard blast wheel is 10” in diameter and has four curved blades for optimum abrasive control. Components are balanced for smooth operation. High horsepower to weight ratio increases the abrasive delivery per horsepower.
Direct drive motor revolves at 3600 RPM. Taper lock bushed motor shaft with NEMA tolerance.
Snap lock design eases blade replacement, no tools required. Curved blades provide maximum abrasive control and are cast from abrasive resistant alloy. Cardinal wheels allow for easy change out of blades.
Dial type cage for ease of targeting the abrasive flow.
Steel plate is completely lined with cast chrome manganese alloy liners. All liners are replaceable.
Pitless type, fabricated from 1/4” mild steel plate, Lined with manganese lined cabinet.
Entrance and exit vestibules designed for optimum shot retention. (5) Sets of media containment seals in each vestibule.
Conveyor feed line height is 35.5” as standard.

ABRASIVE RECYCLING SYSTEM
V-belt bucket elevator provides positive tracking and is easily adjusted. Heavy duty C-section elevator belt has multiple cord construction. Metal stamped buckets. Solid cast iron elevator sheaves. Hopper screen.
OPTIONAL ROTARY SCREEN
Primary screen in cabinet is 1/2” x 1/2” and secondary perforated rotary screen is 1/4”.
ABRASIVE CONTROL VALVE
Totally enclosed butterfly valves are air cylinder operated. Fully adjustable for abrasive flow control.
Single 20” lip separator.
Removes dust laden air from the machine while larger particles and abrasive are returned into the cabinet. Single 20” lip separator.
