CARDINAL 2472 SPINNER HANGER
AIRLESS BLAST UNIT
WHEEL Two direct drive blast wheels revolve at 3510 RPM. Standard blast wheel is 12” in diameter and has four curved blades. Components are balanced for smooth operation.
BLADES Snaplock design eases blade replacement. Curved blades provide maximum abrasive control
and are cast from abrasive resistant alloy.
CONTROL CAGE Dial type cage.
WHEEL HOUSING 1/4” steel plate, completely lined with alloy steel liners.
All liners are replaceable.
CABINET CONSTRUCTION
CABINET Pit-less type, all welded structurally reinforced cabinet is fabricated from ¼” steel plate. Rear access door. Back wall 1/2” Manganese.
CARAOUSEL CONSTRUCTION
DUAL CHAMBER CAROUSEL
Structurally reinforced and fully welded carousel is fabricated from ½” manganese. Carousel revolves on a 3” diameter shaft supported by a heavy duty thrust bearing. Hook spindles are provided on each chamber.
SEALS Dual heavy-duty rubber seals on chamber sides and top. Abrasive accumulation on chamber bottom provides positive sealing of blast chamber during operation. Unique seal design reduces an abrasive leakage.
DRIVE Exterior mounted electric motor and gear reducer transmit power through a chain driven wheel to revolve chamber. Adjustable stops on chamber top working in conjunction with automatic electrical switching provide variable indexing. Number of index stops variable from one to three per chamber.
HOOK SPINDLE Continual rotation of hook spindle during blasting operation provides full exposure of parts to the blast pattern.
OPTIMUM BLAST COVERAGE
Maximum area provided for material to be blasted is 24” diameter x 60” long.

ABRASIVE SCREENING Primary screen in cabinet protects screw conveyor and elevator from large objects. A perforated rotary screen above hopper removes small foreign objects.
SEPARATOR Single 20” lip separator.
ABRASIVE CONTROL VALVES Totally enclosed butterfly valves are air cylinder operated and fully adjustable for abrasive flow control.

ELECTRICS
NEMA type 12 electrical enclosure, fusible disconnect switch, thermal overload protection on all motors, 230/460 volt primary, 115 secondary control transformer, blast wheel ammeters, oil tight push buttons, hour meter, automatic reset abrasive cycle timer. Chamber lockout and independent blast wheel operation for precise blast pattern test.
ELECTRIC MOTORS
All motors are totally enclosed and fan cooled to provide maximum life. Standard 230/460 volt 3-phase.
